The season ends November 30th and the final OGA/USGA Handicap Index Revision is Tuesday, December 1st. The 2010 golf season will commence on Monday, March 1st.
Please remember that while we are still in season (thru Nov. 30), if golf course conditions decline, most of the time you would not automatically want to turn to the use of Preferred Lies.
Did you know that in order to be eligible to issue USGA Handicap Indexes to golfers, a dedicated member of every club (the Handicap Chair) must go to school to learn the USGA Handicap System?
Yes, there exists a school for Handicapping in Oregon. The curriculum comes straight from the USGA Handicap System Manual, with extra tips and tools (and plain language!) provided by the OGA Handicapping & Course Rating Department.

Members have been calling, inquiring as to how they will receive many of their OGA Member benefits this year. The process requires that we have an accurate/valid mailing address in the GHIN system and that your membership is active at an OGA Member Club.
