Gigi Stoll Wins Sectional Qualifier To Advance To Women’s Open

HALF MOON BAY, May 21, 2012 – Two teenagers “Stoll” the show at the U.S. Women’s Open Sectional Qualifying at Half Moon Bay GL on Monday. Gigi Stoll a 15 year-old from Beaverton, Ore. shot the low 36-hole score, posting a 2-under par 142 and she was closely followed by 14 year-old Hannah O’Sullivan of Cupertino, who finished alone in second at 1-under par 143.

2012 Women’s Team Championship Results

Day 2 of the 6th Oregon Women’s Team Championship began very differently from the first day of competition.  Day 1 brought sunny skies and temperate weather.  On the second day, mother nature reminded us who was in control with unforeseen showers in the morning to start the round. 

“We didn’t see this coming, but it’s Oregon. We know the rain is always possible this time of year,” said Nate Swanner, Director of Tournament Operations. “The course held up beautifully to the rain, and the players are ready to play.”

OREGON GOLF ASSOCIATION CAPTURES 3rd STRAIGHT PNGA CUP

Victoria, B.C. - After the final individual match play competition at the 7th annual Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA) Cup, Oregon Golf Association (OGA) captured its third title in a row and its fifth overall.

Coming into the day, Oregon was comforted with a 2.5-point lead from its stellar play on day one. Close on their heels was British Columbia Golf, followed by Idaho Golf Association (3.5 points back) and the Washington State Golf Association (4 points back).
