24TH OREGON NET CHAMPIONSHIP

U.S. WOMENS AMATEUR
As you know, the success of any USGA Championship is dependent upon volunteers. If you have the time, and would like to be a part of the 108th US Women's Amateur, please visit www.2008uswamateur.com. The Championship will begin with two qualifying rounds beginning on Monday, August 4, followed by Match Play August 6 - 10.

2008 HANDICAP REVISION SCHEDULE
The Oregon Golf Association announced the official beginning of the golf season was Saturday, March 1, 2008. OGA members will now have the benefit of sixteen OGA/USGA Handicap Index updates throughout the season. Revisions throughout the year will occur on Wednesdays with a Tuesday deadline to post scores into GHIN.

2008 USGA BOATWRIGHT INTERNSHIPS
The Oregon Golf Association is currently accepting applications for its P.J. Boatwright, Jr. Internships (through a grant from the United States Golf Association). There is one position available in Junior Golf.

NEW & IMPROVED OGA NET SERIES
We've made changes to our popular Net Series this year. There will be new events and new courses...and a Performance Points List to select the OGA Net Player of the Year. The top three Men and top two Women on the points list earn a FREE entry into the 2009 Oregon Net Championship!

PERFORMANCE POINTS
Each year Performance Points are awarded to players in the Men's, Senior Men's and Women's Divisions in a variety of Match Play and Stroke Play events including tournaments conducted by the OGA, USGA, PNGA and the Pacific Northwest Section of the PGA.
