Pristine golfing conditions and low scores highlighted the prestigious PNW Boys & Girls Jr. PGA Championship at the OGA Golf Course this weekend (6/2-6/3).
At stake this weekend was a trip to Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Kentucky, to compete in the 2018 Junior PGA Championship. Earning that honor in the girls (age 16-18) division was Victoria Gailey (Tigard, OR) after shooting a 4-over par (71-77--148). Mary Scott Wolfe (Beaverton, OR) finished in third place overall (78-78—156) and is an alternate for the 2018 PGA Jr. Championship.
Other notable Oregon Junior Golfers who played well this weekend were Brandon Eyre (Salem, OR) who won the Boys (age 13-15) division with a score of 4-over par (74-74—148) and Jacinda Lee (Camas, WA) who T2nd place in the Girls (age 13-15) division with a score of 13-over par (80-77—157).
