WOMEN: Entries are open to female amateur golfers with USGA Handicap Indexes™ of 15.0 or less. The field will be limited to the 48 entrants with the lowest USGA Handicap Indexes at the entry deadline. In the event that the Women’s Division does not reach its field limit, the remaining spots will be transferred to the Men’s Division.

MEN: Entries are open to amateur golfers with USGA Handicap Indexes™ of 5.0 or less. The final Championship field will include exempt players as well as those that advance from the additional 18-hole stroke play qualifying stages.

All contestants must be members in good standing of an OGA Member Club and be at least 13 years of age as of June 17, 2019.


WOMEN: The low 32 finishers from the first two rounds of stroke play will advance to single elimination match play. 
MEN: The low 64 finishers from the first two rounds of stroke play will advance to single elimination match play.
QUALIFYING: Those attempting to qualify are only allowed to register and do so at one site.

June 1 - OGA GC - Woodburn, Ore.
June 4 - Stone Creek GC - Oregon City, Ore.
June 8 - Tokatee GC - Blue River, Ore.



Exempt Players: $200

Qualifying: $100 + Event Fees of $100 upon qualifying


Fee Details

Entry fee must accompany your entry and will include:

  • 3 Rounds of golf - One practice round and two guaranteed competition rounds
  • OGA hosted lunch first two days
  • Tee Prizes
  • A trophy will be awarded to the Men’s and Women’s Champion and Runner-up
  • Special awards from Jones Sports Co. will be issued to the Men's and Women's Champions

Refunds are NOT available after the closing date of May 29th, except for documented medical reasons. All refunds are subject to a $20.00 administrative fee.

Deadline Details

Entries will be accepted according to the date of receipt of entry and entry fee. Entries must reach the OGA office by 5pm on May 29th. Entries by telephone, fax, or email must accompany payment and must be received by 5pm of the deadline. Online entries are accepted until midnight. Late entries will be accepted and placed on an alternate's list to fill spots if they become available up until a time that the OGA Staff establishes. Late entries will not be accepted unless they are accompanied by the correct entry fee, plus an additional fee of $25. Contestants must contact the OGA in order to submit a late entry.

MEN:  All past Oregon Amateur Champions; the 2018 Oregon Junior Amateur Champion, Nate Stember; the Top 50 golfers on the OGA Men’s Performance Points List and the top 5 golfers on the OGA Senior Men’s Performance Points list (Points Lists are published here); special exemptions* and winners of the past two years in the following championships:

* The OGA Tournament Committee reserves the right to award a position into the tournament proper to any player(s) who has performed exceptionally well in state, regional and/or national competitions who is otherwise qualified but not exempt.  Such awards will be made by invitation of the OGA Tournament Committee at their discretion. 

All exempt players must meet eligibility requirements and must file an entry by the deadline.


Practice Round Details

Players may call Portland Golf Club, 503-292-2778, at any time to make practice round arrangements. Practice rounds can be scheduled on a space available basis after 2 pm on most days except on June 10 after 12pm and no practice rounds times are available on the following days: June 6, 13, 14 & 15. Contestants are eligible for one complimentary practice round. Practice rounds are for contestants only and will not be extended to guests, caddies, or family members. You must identify yourself as an Oregon Amateur Championship contestant in order to receive your free practice round. Players who wish to use their practice round are expected to abide by all club rules including pace of play.

Performance Points

Points for the 2019 Oregon Amateur Championship will count for the following team competitions: the 2019 Hudson Cup Team, the 2019 Morse Cup Team and the 2020 PNGA Cup Team. All points awarded from the men’s or women's performance points schedule will count towards senior men’s or senior women's points.
