The 2021 schedule for Oregon Junior Golf is complete and youth golfers across the region will have dozens of competitive and non-competitive events to choose from. Registration for all OJG events opens on May 3.
The signature events, OJG Major Tournaments, are held at the top courses in Oregon and Southwest Washington. These multiple-day competitions are tailored for more experienced players. For OJG Majors, where Open Divisions are offered, only members competing in the Open Division are eligible for team points.
OJG also offers single-day events in the form of the Summer Series and EJ PlayDays.
There are 18 OJG Summer Series events scheduled for 2021. Summer Series events are administered and run by the facilities (employees and volunteers) where they are played. The event costs $45 for OJG Members, $65 for non-members, and features both nine- and 18-hole divisions.
For juniors seeking less competitive formats, the Erling Jacobsen PlayDays are designed for juniors ages 8-18 to play different golf courses in that fun, stress-free environment. This is a great way for golfers to meet other juniors, play in a group setting and develop their skills. Each event date includes nine holes of golf, lunch, prizes and short education on rules and etiquette. The entry fee for EJ PlayDays is $10.
