The 51st Eddie Hogan Cup Team Matches will take place August 9-11 at Riverside Golf & Country Club in Portland. The annual event pits 12 teams from western states and provinces against each other in a 36-hole team tournament. Graham Moody and Franca Polla won their respective boys and girls open divisions at the Bob Allard Portland City Memorial played July 29-30 in Portland. Results Moody, the only to play both rounds under par, finished 8-under par (69-67-136). Johnny Ward took second, finishing five strokes back of Moody. Moody, who posted a bogey-free final round, recorded nine birdies and only one bogey during the two-day major competition. Yvonne Vinceri and Collin Hodgkinson each posted their second victories in as many weeks at the Central Oregon Junior Championship played July 22-23. Results Vinceri, who finished the event 6-over par, was in second place after posting an opening-round 76 Monday at Meadow Lakes Golf Course in Prineville. She followed that with a second-round 74 on the Resort Course at Eagle Crest Resort on Tuesday in Redmond to secure a three-stroke victory. Kyra Ly won the Girls Open 12-18 Division while Collin Hodgkinson won the Boys Open 14-18 Division at the Klamath Basin Junior Championship played July 17-18 at Running Y Ranch in Klamath Falls. Graham Moody and Yvonne Vinceri won the top boys and girls divisions respectively at the Southern Oregon Junior Championship played July 15-16 at Rogue Valley Country Club in Medford. Results Moody shot back-to-back 70s en route to finishing the event 4-under par (70-70-140) – three strokes ahead of Riggs Loftin (69-74-143) who took second place in the Boys Open 14-18 Division. The United States Golf Association (USGA) will administer the 72nd U.S. Junior Amateur Championship July 15-18 at 7,339-yard, par-71 Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio. Johnny Ward finished 2-under par to win the Boys Open Division and Kyra Ly finished 4-over par to win the Girls Open Division at the Central Willamette Junior Championship. Oregon Junior Golf has named their teams for the 2019 Junior America’s Cup (JAC) and Girls Junior America’s Cup (GJAC) competitions for later in July. Both teams were selected based on a points system determined by player results. Blackhawk Golf Club in Edmonton, Alta., is the host venue for the 2019 Junior America’s Cup scheduled for July 22-25. Brandon Eyre and Kyra Ly won their respective divisions at the Oregon Junior Stroke Play Championship played July 2-4 at OGA Golf Course in Woodburn. The event was a three-day, 54-hole competition that included a cut after day one.
