Team Oregon #1 won the 51st Hogan Cup played Aug. 10-11 at Riverside Golf & Country Club in Portland. It marks the eighth time that a team from Oregon has won the competition – the second time in the last four years of the event. Team Oregon #1, one of two teams in the competition representing Oregon & Southwest Washington, entered Sunday’s final round in third place after finishing day one at 5-over par (221). Graham Moody and Franca Polla won their respective boys and girls open divisions at the Bob Allard Portland City Memorial played July 29-30 in Portland. Results Moody, the only to play both rounds under par, finished 8-under par (69-67-136). Johnny Ward took second, finishing five strokes back of Moody. Results Vinceri, who finished the event 6-over par, was in second place after posting an opening-round 76 Monday at Meadow Lakes Golf Course in Prineville. Results Moody shot back-to-back 70s en route to finishing the event 4-under par (70-70-140) – three strokes ahead of Riggs Loftin (69-74-143) who took second place in the Boys Open 14-18 Division. The United States Golf Association (USGA) will administer the 72nd U.S. Junior Amateur Championship July 15-18 at 7,339-yard, par-71 Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio.
