U.S. Mid-Amateur Championships Set for Sept. 14-19

Shannon Kennedy will play in the U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur at Forest Highlands Golf Club in Flagstaff, Ariz., while Jack O'Neal, Jack Dukeminier, Philip Bagdade and Robbie Ziegler will play at the U.S. Mid-Amateur at Colorado Golf Club in Parker, Colo. Both competitions will occur Sept. 14-19.

Kennedy, from Portland, shot 11-over par to edge out Laura Arellano-Karki and Cheung Ching Ng and earn medalist honors and the lone spot into the women’s national championship at the local sectional qualifying played in August.

O’Neal, from Vancouver, Wash., earned medalist honors at the local men's sectional qualifying back in August, posting a 5-under par 67, while Dukeminier (Beaverton) and Bagdade (Portland) finished second and third respectively.

Ziegler (Portland) advanced at a sectional qualifier played at High Point (N.C.) Country Club in August.
